July 2023
Perfusion Medical has been accepted at the prestigious MassChallenge U.S. Early Stage Accelerator program.
The program helps startups refine their business model and make important industry connections. In January, Perfusion participated in the MassChallenge Innovate Meeting in Dallas as part of the accelerator program.
"The MassChallenge Accelerator program is providing Perfusion Medical critical access to investors and life science advisors, as well as office space in Boston,” said Gerard Eldering, Perfusion’s chief executive and VCU TechTransfer and Ventures entrepreneur-in-residence.
Perfusion is developing a drug that seeks to stop hemorrhagic shock caused by severe blood loss. Its solution, called PEG-20K, was invented by a team led by Martin J. Mangino, Ph.D., a professor of surgery, physiology and biophysics in the Department of Surgery at the VCU School of Medicine. Here’s more.
